Head of Growth Marketing

Location: Remote (UK based)

TL;DR

• Remote first, with a small office in London where our team meet every couple of weeks

• £65k, plus stock options

• Own and drive performance marketing channels including PPC, Paid Social, and Affiliate channels

• VC backed startup with impressive growth (300% YoY) and strong mission to reinvigorate early childhood education in the UK

About Tiney

We’re building a platform that enables people to open and run their own home-based childcare businesses, allowing passionate early years educators to focus more energy on the children, enjoy doing what they love, and spend less time on the complex business admin and compliance that comes with the job.

We launched in early 2020 and have raised Series A funding from top European investors. We’re at an exciting stage of growth — we have over 1000 registered childcare providers in England and we’re processing over £15M per annum of childcare payments through our platform. We have a truly sustainable business model with real revenues and a clear path to profitability.

We have global ambitions and believe that the key to our success will be exceptional technical and product execution, combined with a compelling proposition that works for all our users. Our vision is to make the entire customer experience of choosing and buying childcare, and managing a childcare business, as seamless, joyful, and safe as modern digital consumers have come to expect.

Childcare is a famously hard sector to crack, but at Tiney, we believe our unique team, business model, and regulatory/market conditions make us the ideal candidates to have an unprecedented impact. Now’s an amazing time to join us on this journey.

The Role

We’re looking for a Head of Growth Marketing to join our dynamic team and own our performance marketing channels. You’ll work alongside our Head of Sales, Social and Content, and our Head of Onboarding. This role is pivotal to our growth strategy, ensuring the efficient use of our marketing budgets and driving performance across all channels including PPC, Paid Social, Affiliate and Organic channels.

Responsibilities

Performance Marketing Channels

PPC (mature channel): Ensure continued performance and scalability, optimising campaigns, driving unit profitable growth by keeping acquisition costs stable, and finding more volume/headroom.

Paid Social (emerging channel): Prove the efficiency of social spend and deliver significant monthly deal volumes. Work on creatives with our design team and agree on messaging with our Head of Sales, Social and Content.

Affiliate Channels (new channel)

• Launch and optimise our affiliates strategy (currently with AWIN), including gap analysis, affiliate outreach, incentive design, and ongoing measurement. Create compelling propositions to attract good fit partners and devise tests for both the supply and demand sides of tiney’s market.

Campaigns and Funnel Optimization

• Drive funnel performance through seasonal marketing campaigns and ongoing marketing sequences that improve conversion for new and aged leads. Help technically optimise our funnel setup in tools like Hubspot.

Landing Page Optimization and Organic Search

• Analyse performance through tools like HotJar, identifying conversion opportunities in both visual design and proposition tests. Work with our technical SEO team on off-site organic strategies and agree on publishing themes and opportunities with our Head of Sales and wider tiney teams.

Skills and Experience

• Deep knowledge of paid channels

• Ability to own and report on the efficiency of Paid Marketing budgets

• Knowledge of typical funnel tools including tag manager, Hubspot, AdWords, Meta Ads, etc.

• Ability to analyse data and report on performance (Tiney’s stack runs on GCP/Metabase) • Desire to interface as part of our senior leadership team (‘Head of roles’ sit directly under c-suite in our org chart) and make a meaningful contribution to our progress as we scale

Logistics & Benefits

• Remote-first company, with occasional in-person meetings (once every 2 weeks) in our London office

• £65k base with EMI stock options so that you own part of Tiney, plus further performance incentives to be agreed

•The right kit for the job, including laptop, second monitor (if required), mouse/keyboard, and budget towards a chair and desk

• 28 days holiday, Life Insurance, Mental Health support, monthly socials, and much more!

Application Process

• 30 minutes initial call with one of our founders, John - this will be a general interview covering your CV and experience

• 90 minutes remote technical interview with our team. We’ll send you some background info in advance to think about, and there will be plenty of time to ask lots of questions about the role and team

• Final 60 minute coffee chat (30 minutes with our senior leaders in the Growth team, Lucy and Emily, and 30 minutes with our 2 other founders, Brett and Edd)

💜 Our Commitment to Diversity

A child who wants to learn doesn’t care about gender, race, sexual orientation, religion, or any of the other things that sometimes divide, and neither do we. We hire people from a wide variety of backgrounds, not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because it makes us stronger and gives us all a better chance of unlocking the potential of every child.
