Data Analyst

Location: Remote within UK


We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our team here at tiney, focusing on supporting business stakeholders with KPI reporting and driving efficiencies. The role involves managing data pipelines, performing data analysis, and generating insights for data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis & Insights: Identify trends and patterns from datasets to inform business decisions.

  • Data Visualisation: Create visualisations to effectively communicate findings.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with various teams (product, engineering, growth, operations) to understand and meet their data needs.

  • Performance Tracking: Develop and maintain dashboards for KPI monitoring.

  • Statistical Analysis: Validate models and ensure data accuracy through statistical techniques.

  • Data Quality: Conduct regular checks to maintain data integrity.

  • Data Modelling: Use Dataform to transform raw data into actionable insights and maintain scalable pipelines.

  • Proactivity: Identify new growth opportunities and propose solutions.

  • Dealing with Ambiguity: Make informed decisions with incomplete information and adapt to changing priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with SQL.

  • Proficiency in BI tools such as Metabase or Looker.

  • Understanding of data architecture and modelling (Dataform or DBT).

  • Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience in consumer products, marketplaces, customer services, or marketing is a plus.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.

Interview Process:

  1. Stage 1: 30-minute phone interview.

  2. Stage 2: Take-home test.

  3. Stage 3: 60-minute technical interview with two team members.

  4. Stage 4: 45-minute final interview with an executive and a member of the people team.
