About the role
Due to our strong growth and continuous ambitions, we are looking to strengthen our finance team and focus on professionalization and optimization within the finance function. As a financial controller you are an integral part of this transition.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Ensure quality of financial transactions and financial reporting (Knowledge of Dutch GAAP accounting and good understanding of accounting principles including accruals & deferred revenue )
- Liaise with external auditors and prepare audit deliverables
- Compile and document key financial processes and accounting controls
- Monitor the daily accounting functions which include accounts payable, accounts receivable & payroll
- Liaise with other accounting stakeholders including our external bookkeepers, compliance and tax team
- Maintain and update documented transfer pricing arrangements within the group
- Prepare and deliver detailed schedules and other integral data used in the management reporting, investor reporting and financial plan
- Assist with implementation of process improvements, automation, and efficiency enhancement within the accounting operations.
- Prepare month end and YE close accounting procedures and support on technical accounting topics
About you

Next to that:
- You have a Bsc or Msc in accounting & control / finance & accounting or similar
- You have a good understanding of Dutch GAAP accounting principles
- You have experience in a similar financial controller role (Tech startup/scale up is a plus)
- You have a total work experience of between 2-4 years
- You have experience with audit (either as part of company undergoing an external audit or working as an auditor yourself)
- You are proficient in Exact-online (or similar accounting system) as well as MS systems (Excel, Microsoft word etc.)
- You are a self starter and have an analytical mindset
- You have experience coaching junior colleagues
- You are fluent in English
